Terms of Service
Last updated: 30 October 2026
These terms cover your use of the Dustinator plugin and the dustinator.app website. Dustinator is made by Mantas Sutkus, Lithuania (“we”, “us”). By downloading, installing or buying Dustinator you agree to them. Questions: support@dustinator.app.
1. What Dustinator is
Dustinator is a plugin for Adobe Lightroom Classic on macOS. It finds dust and lint on film scans and adds editable Heal spots. It will not find every speck, and it may sometimes mark something that isn't dust. You can always review, remove or revert its spots.
2. Free trial
The trial is the full plugin, limited to 24 cleaned frames. After that you need a license key to keep cleaning. Spots made during the trial stay in your photos.
3. Buying a license
A license costs €36, paid once. Prices include VAT where it applies. Payments are processed by Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ), our merchant of record, which also handles invoices and tax. Creem's own terms apply to the payment itself.
4. What the license lets you do
- Use Dustinator on up to 2 Macs that you own or use, for personal or commercial work.
- Get all 1.x updates at no extra cost. A future 2.0 may be a paid upgrade; your 1.x version keeps working.
- Move the license to a different Mac by deactivating it on the old one.
You may not share, resell or publish your license key, or copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute the plugin, except where the law allows it.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use Dustinator to process, edit or prepare:
- sexually explicit, pornographic, adult or NSFW content;
- any content that is illegal, including any content that sexually exploits minors;
- content that infringes other people's rights, such as photos you have no right to use.
If you break these rules, we may end your license without a refund.
6. License check
The plugin checks your license key with our license service when you activate it and occasionally after. This needs an internet connection now and then. See the Privacy Policy for what is sent.
7. Refunds
If Dustinator isn't for you, email support@dustinator.app within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, no questions asked. When refunded, the license key stops working. This doesn't limit any rights you have under consumer law.
8. Your files
Dustinator never changes the pixels in your scans. It writes Heal spots into Lightroom and, like Lightroom's Save Metadata to File, into the file's metadata. Keep backups of your photos and Lightroom catalog anyway, as you would with any software.
9. No warranty
Dustinator is provided “as is”. We work to make it reliable, but we don't promise it will be error-free, work with every scan or setup, or keep working with every future Lightroom or macOS version.
10. Liability
As far as the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for your license. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost time, profit or data. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer in the EU.
11. Trademarks
Adobe, Lightroom and Lightroom Classic are trademarks of Adobe Inc. Dustinator is not affiliated with or endorsed by Adobe.
12. Changes and law
We may update these terms; the version on this page applies, with the date at the top. These terms are governed by the laws of Lithuania. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protections of the law where you live.
