Short version: your photos never leave your Mac. The website uses no cookies or tracking. We only handle the data needed to sell you a license and answer your emails.
Who we are
Dustinator is made by Mantas Sutkus, Lithuania (“we”, “us”). We are the data controller for the data described here. Contact: support@dustinator.app.
Your photos
The Dustinator plugin runs entirely on your Mac. Your scans, previews and metadata are never uploaded to us or anyone else. Dust detection and cleaning happen locally.
This website
dustinator.app has no cookies, analytics, ads or tracking scripts. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Buying a license
Purchases are handled by Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ, Estonia), which acts as the merchant of record. Creem collects your name, email, billing country and payment details, handles tax, and issues your license key. We never see your full card details. We receive your name, email, country and order details from Creem so we can support your license. See Creem's privacy policy.
The trial and license check
The free trial counts the frames you clean. That count is stored only on your Mac.
When you activate, check or deactivate a license key, the plugin sends to our license service at api.dustinator.app: the license key, a random ID created for that installation, and your Mac's model name (for example “MacBook Pro”), so you can see and manage your 2 activations. Our license service runs on Cloudflare and passes this to Creem to validate the key. Nothing about your photos is sent.
If an order is refunded or disputed, our license service keeps that license key on a block list so it stops working. The list holds only the key.
Emails to support
If you email us, we keep your message and email address to answer you. Our email is hosted by Hostinger.
Why we use this data
- To sell and deliver your license and honor refunds (performing our contract with you).
- To keep tax and accounting records (legal obligation).
- To keep the website and license service running and secure (legitimate interest).
We don't sell your data, use it for advertising, or send marketing emails.
How long we keep it
License and order data for as long as your license is active and as long as tax law requires afterwards. Blocked license keys for as long as they need to stay blocked. Support emails for up to 3 years after the last message. Cloudflare's technical logs are kept briefly under Cloudflare's own policies.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it, by emailing support@dustinator.app. Deleting your data may mean we can no longer verify your license. You can also complain to the Lithuanian data protection authority (Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija, vdai.lrv.lt) or the authority where you live.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
